Broadband Systems Corporation, PLC (BSC) is a licensed Internet Service Provider (ISP) that is incorporated under the laws and regulations of the Republic of Rwanda.  

The company is engaged in the business of providing advanced Information Communication Technology services based on broadband connectivity.  

In order to effectively accomplish its business objectives, BSC PLC is looking for a qualified and competent candidate to fill the position of “Marketing Manager”. 


 The Marketing Manager will support the company brand awareness by implementing creative advertising and promotions, building a strong brand, and exercise his/her best capacity for transferring BSC Ltd service to customers through on/offline marketing activities. In order to build up not only an innovative and dynamic image for the company but also an awareness of service that are differentiated from competitors, various promotional and marketing strategies should be set up and implemented. The objective for this role is to;  

  • Build and maintain our brand awareness and image.
  • Change customer belief and perception for the better.
  • Increase customer satisfaction level for market differentiation.
  • Increase market share and sales per product and general sales performance. 
  • Reinforce purchase decisions. 
  • Increase category demand and purchase actions.


The marketing manager will mainly undertake market research, understand the trends and customer preferences, create marketing strategy and budgets, oversee the creation of marketing materials and content, and perform all other relevant tasks essential for increasing the company’s business’s sales. Your role will start from planning and executing marketing campaigns to analysing the ROI and tracking the budget. Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:    

  • Develop overall marketing strategy to achieve company’s marketing objectives
  • Build marketing programs to support specific marketing objectives across different channels and segments in support of our overall strategic marketing plan
  • Strategy Development and planning of campaigns that can promote the business and generate genuine traffic (both offline and online)
  • Implementation of the marketing campaigns right from ideation to final analysis and refinement
  • Creating engaging and informative content for the website, blog, social media, and any other content marketing channels that the business might leverage.
  • Building sustainable relationships and partnerships with other key players such as vendors, advertising agencies, and creative artists as per the need
  • Conducting Quarterly market intelligence to evaluate and optimize our pricing strategies for competitivity.
  • Increasing company’s brand awareness and market share
  • Coordinating marketing strategies with the sales, financial, public relations, and product development units/departments
  • Developing and managing the marketing unit’s budget
  • Promoting our brand at trade shows and major industry-related events
  • Organizing customer networking events with the aim of new business development, customer retention and satisfaction
  • Making sure our content is up-to-date and relevant on all our social media platforms and website.
  • Ensure the company is communicating the right messaging to attract prospective customers and retain existing ones
  • Evaluate the impact of marketing programs in achieving their stated objectives, including impact on lead flow, Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and retention.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with media organizations and advertising agencies. 
  • Updating and managing all our promotional materials production and content 
  • Make CI (Corporate Identity) awareness strategy and marketing communication mix plan/execution.
  • Manage and oversee BSC marketing & sales activities
  • Coordinate Integrated production of promotional materials.
  • Workout on planned activities aligned to the strategy and report the progress. 
  • Conduct research to guide Company’s management on market gaps to guide new products development
  • Work on Distribution strategies with the aim of increasing sales and strategic presence for brand visibility
  • Initiate and coordinate strategic sponsorships for improvement of company’s mileage. 
  • Keeping the company/management informed of marketing strategies and trends. 
  • Support with any other related activities as may be required by your supervisor.

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Marketing, Commerce, Business Administration and Management or International Trade.
  • Candidates with master’s degree in the relevant field will have an added advantage.
  • At least 5 years of work experience with a good track record of developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the corporate company’s brand on local and regional market.
  • Experience building complex marketing programs and reporting on the results.
  • Exposure to digital and direct response marketing.
  • Competence as a creative writer with an eye for great emails and landing pages, concepts, media content.
  • Proven 3 years’ experience in coordinating exhibitions or/ other events.
  • Ability to forecast, develop marketing budget and manage it appropriately.
  • Ability to develop and align marketing strategy with the company’s business strategy.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills mainly in English. Additional Languages is an added value.
  • Ability to understand market dynamics and advise the company on proper competitive strategies.
  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from the supervisor.
  • Ability to manage teams and marketing subcontractors/agencies.
